Photography for me is about blending artistry and narrative—capturing beauty in both the grand and the subtle details.

About Lenora

Roots and Inspiration

I grew up in Basingstoke, England, a charming market town full of history, where cobbled streets and echoes of the Roman era first sparked my curiosity about the world. In the late 90s, my family moved to Calgary, Alberta, where I experienced the vastness of the Canadian prairies—endless horizons dotted with grazing horses and rolling farms. The warmth of chinooks breaking winter’s chill left an indelible mark, cultivating in me a deep appreciation for natural beauty and openness.

It all started with my mother’s Canon film camera. She meticulously documented our lives in family albums, fostering my love for capturing memories. Despite being self-taught, I’ve always been inspired by European classical art—portraits, painting, and drawing—which gave me a strong foundation for my photography.

In 2010, I moved to Vancouver, BC, a place where mountains meet ocean. The sheer beauty of the West Coast rekindled my passion for photography.

My goal is to build strong connections and capture moments that radiate warmth and are cherished for years to come.

Bringing Skills and Passion Together

I started taking photos in 2011 while working as a makeup artist in fashion and film. My time behind the scenes contributed to my eye for composition, color, light, and shadow. This background gave me a unique perspective—an emphasis on warmth, natural feminine essence, and the power of subtle details. My experience in marketing for magazines also honed my storytelling skills. All these influences have shaped my approach, weaving artistry and narrative into my work.

Rediscovering Film Photography

A turning point in my journey was inheriting a beautiful Asahi Pentax camera from my great-grandfather. It was then that I truly fell in love with the magic of film photography. The timeless quality of film, with its rich tones and organic imperfections, continues to influence my work today. Even in my digital photography, I strive to emulate the feel of film—crafting each image to carry the warmth, texture, and nostalgia that film evokes. What began as personal exploration evolved into showcasing my work and eventually led to establishing my photography business. I find immense joy in collaborating with clients, blending their vision with my artistic approach. My goal is to build strong connections and capture moments that radiate warmth and are cherished for years to come.
